Blooming into a new season

At 10 am, I was instructed to report to the studio. At 9:50 am, I arrived there. Hair and makeup would be done first, followed by a variety of clothing and accessories. It was my third time working with the incredibly brilliant TY Bello, who is a celebrity photographer, singer, producer, and the proud mother of twins. In 2011 and again in 2018, I shot with her for the first time.
I believed I was familiar with the drill with TY on the morning of March 24th, 2023. For a creative person, five years is a very long time. TY was not on another Despite her skill level as a photographer, what she accomplished that day astounded my crew and me.
She fought with the hairdresser and makeup artist until they achieved the correct appearance, and she continued to reel in prop after prop. She told me, "This shoot has to be special, you are celebrating a milestone," as her first words to me. I followed the flow because I'm always interested in trying new things. This is a new season for you, she added as she brought out two sets of flowers for the two white clothes I was wearing. These represent that in some way.
I sobbed when I saw the photos. I was happy to be able to celebrate such a milestone in good health and without a crisis threatening my family and me, not because of how lovely I looked in them. I collaborated with Korede Olabanji again for a photo shoot, and PhotoNimi's images were as stunning.

60 years old. I'm appreciative of all the blessings I've been given. Never once will I take them for granted. Even though I still have a long way to go, I am happy with where my adventure has brought me thus far. My sincere gratitude to every one of my relatives and friends who have helped me feel so special at this time.

Gratitude for the little things that build up at the end
A period of planning
a period of introspection
A period of wisdom
The past is the past.
Finished means finished.
This year is about progress.

My hands are on my hips.
Straight back and shoulders
bursting into bloom like the most colourful of rare flowers
blooming in ways that encourage darkness to give way to light
Blooming by the mercy of the Almighty God. into my new season.
