Nigerian Comedian Woli Arole has announced he is partaking in the ongoing trend of world record-breakers.
Arole, a Christian, decided to jump on the Pray-a-thon record for the longest time of 5000 hours.
His decision comes in the wake of attempts by some Nigerians to break and set new world records
“PRAY – A – THON…….5000 hours……It is doable….Anticipate…..Guinness Book of Records,” he wrote in an Instagram post, tagging the Guinness World Records, some clerics among others.
Earlier, chef Hilda Baci finished a yet-to-be-confirmed 120-hour cook-a-thon which drew global attention.
Weeks after her exploits, an Ekiti-based chef Damilola Adeparusi is currently aiming to break Hilda’s records.

Beyond Setting Record
But in a follow-up post on Monday, Woli said his decision to embark on the pray-a-thon, is not for fame.
“This is beyond setting a RECORD. This is to stir the heart of MEN to PRAY… We PRAY until something Happens. We are SET!” the 33-year-old wrote.
Many Nigerians are in disbelief and second-guessing his announcement as they feel it is an unachievable feat.
Arole’s 5000 hours if calculated turn out to be 208 days and 8 hours.
“Pray-a-thon, 5000 hours. It is doable, anticipate” – Arole said.
