‘I’m Nigerian from Oyo Kingdom’ – Ghanaian singer, Stonebwoy
Ghanaian singer, Livingstone Etse Satekla, popularly known as Stonebwoy has revealed that he has Nigerian heritage.
Stonebwoy, who is from the Ewe tribe of Ghana, claimed that his ancestors were from the ancient Oyo Kingdom in Nigeria.
He further claimed his tribe, Ewe, were the original settlers of Ilesha in Osun State.
The dancehall star spoke in a recent chat with popular influencer, Ola of Lagos.
Speaking in Pidgin, Stonebwoy said, “Me sef nah Naija, no lies. Me nah Ewe from Oyo Kingdom, my tribe migrated from Nigeria to Ghana here, na we get Illesha. Shout-out to my people in the southern part of Nigeria. Check Ewe, we root straight to Yoruba.”
