Chidinma Ekile, popularly known as Chidinma, has set the record straight regarding her marital status.
The 32-year-old Nigerian singer recently appeared on Channels Television’s show “Rubbin’ Minds” to address rumours that have been circulating about her relationships with prominent figures in the entertainment industry like Flavour and Kizz Daniel.
When asked if she’s considering settling down with someone special, Chidinma replied, “No, not yet.” She emphasized that she’s currently not in any relationship and is not feeling pressured to get married. “No pressure at all, no pressure whatsoever,” she emphasized, adding that when the time is right, it will naturally happen.
Chidinma has faced numerous accusations about her alleged romantic involvement with Kizz Daniel and Flavour. Flavour was rumoured to be in a romantic relationship with Chidinma after they shared a kiss on set and were seen together in various photos. Additionally, Chidinma and Kizz Daniel appeared together in the 2019 movie “Love Me.”
Addressing these rumours, Chidinma shared her approach to handling such speculations: “Stuff like that always happens in the industry. I just try as much as possible to block out the noise and distractions.” When asked directly if the rumours about her dating Kizz Daniel and Flavour were true, she responded with a firm “Nah, Nah.”

Chidinma explained that she doesn’t often talk about her personal life due to her background. She prefers to focus on her work and keep her private life private. She emphasized that staying true to herself has been a key factor in managing fame and resisting temptation in the music industry. “I’m just comfortable being me,” she stated.
Chidinma rose to fame in 2010 after winning the third season of Project Fame West Africa. She made history by becoming the first female musician to reach number 1 on the MTV Base Official Naija Top 10 chart with her single “Emi Ni Baller.” Over the past decade, she has consistently delivered hit records and maintained a successful career in the secular music world.
In a surprising turn, Chidinma transitioned fully to gospel music in May 2021, which she revealed through her Instagram account. She is now actively engaged in Christian ministry while continuing to shine brightly in the music industry. Her journey serves as a testament to the potential of reality shows in shaping the careers of talented individuals, as she remains a star both in the secular and gospel music realms.
