LASU Record Breaker: How I lived on garri while residing on the campus of the university without a room image

Aminat Yusuf, the top graduating student for the class of 2021/2022 at Lagos State University (LASU), claims that for most of her college years, she settled for garri and groundnuts.
Yusuf attributed a lot of her success to hard effort, the correct lecturers' mentoring, and the direction of God.
Yusuf, an indigene of Edo, graduated with first-class honours with a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 5.00.
She claimed that these elements had contributed to her becoming the best-graduating student in both her cohort and LASU's 40-year history.
Yusuf claimed that being the first child and her parents' financial position put a lot of pressure on her. "I only requested financial assistance when it was necessary and after I had tried everything else."As a result, I faced significant financial difficulties for the duration of my two-plus four years at LASU.
"I saved up about 90% of my feeding allowance in 200 Level, second semester just to get a browsing phone and get trained in computer skills, For most of my days as an undergraduate, I lived in the university premises because I had no hostel and going home every day would have been inconvenient."
My main issue was having to attend classes every day in a beautifully pressed white and black outfit, appearing like everything was fine, Yusuf said to NAN on Wednesday. "The school had a stand-by security and standard lighting system, so it was safe for me.
The best-graduating student noted, speaking on her first day at LASU for the physical screening to be admitted into a diploma in law program: "I remember fantasizing about accomplishing a remarkable feat in this prestigious university."
"I first completed the two-year Diploma in Law program, which offers direct entry admission to top students and requires students to take mandatory law courses."
I completed the program with a CGPA of 4.98, which was the highest in my set since I worked very hard and prayed passionately to achieve perfection. The desire to graduate with a flawless CGPA at the undergraduate level was inspired by the potential of receiving such a mark.
She praised the government for adopting the Student Loan Act into law and urged well-intentioned Nigerians to invest in the education industry.
"I believe this will without a doubt be of immeasurable value to our educational system," she continued. Although I had financial difficulties throughout my college, I don't want future students, especially female students, to experience the same suffering.
However, Yusuf thanked the LASU administration for maintaining the friendly and supportive environment that aided in her success.
"I am eternally grateful to my parents for their sacrifice and unwavering support," she stated.
My parents inspired me via their various professions; my mother is a businessman and my father is a writer."I would want to take this occasion to establish a YouTube channel entitled, 'Learning Law with Aminat,' to give back to society through my immediate community. I would like to thank my faculty lecturers for their spirit of excellence, commitment, and passion in educating us to be the best."
