Muslims pray for rain in the Adamawa state community

In Hong Local Government Area of Adamawa State, the northern part of Adamawa State where rain has been scarce since the onset of the rainy season was gathered by thousands of Muslims faithful irrespective of status and gender Saturday 22/07/2023 equivalent to the 3rd Muharram 1445 AH
and offered special prayers for rain, known as “Salatul Istisqa’a”.
The special prayer is to seek God's divine intervention due to the lack of steady rainfall this year in the area.
Hong District Media reports that the prayer was led by the Deputy Chief Imam Hong Central Masjid Hong, Ustaz Sa’idu Garba Hong with District Head of Hong, Dan-Maliki Adamawa, Alhaji Umar Babangida Mahmoud (Khadimul-Qur’an) in attendance.
Ustaz Sa’idu Garba Hong prayed to Allah SWT to accept the prayer and also bring to an end the hardship faced by people in the country.
He also prayed for a bumper harvest and for Allah to forgive people of their sins.
