Nigeria Data Protection Bill, 2023 is made law by President Tinubu
A legal framework for the protection of personal data and the practice of data protection in Nigeria is provided by the Nigeria Data Protection Act, which was passed in 2023.
The National Commissioner of the Nigerian Data Protection Bureau (NDPB), Dr Vincent Olatunji, made this statement at the validation workshop for the NDPD Strategic Roadmap and Action Plan (SRAP) in Abuja, according to NAN.
On Tuesday, April 4, 2023, former President Muhammadu Buhari forwarded a letter containing the measure to the Senate and House of Representatives for review and approval.
