Pretty Igbo lady flaunts Marriage List, causes stir online She says, ''Getting Married From My Village Is Very Cheap,"
An Igbo Lady known as Precious Ubani, has taken to her social media to counter the widespread notion that the traditional wedding list in Igbo land is often expensive.
The list she released sparked mixed reactions on social media as netizens slammed the high cost of getting married in her state.
Precious Ubani, a South-East Nigerian Lady, has reacted to claims that the Igbo traditional wedding list is on the high side.
Precious said that not all states in the South-East are the same and advised men to consider getting brides from her Obodo Ndukwu autonomous community in Abia State, saying it is very cheap to marry from there.
Backing up her claim, she shared a marriage list from her village, which she obtained from her father. She sarcastically marveled at how cheap it was and went on to spell out each item on the list.
The list comprises four sections, namely Umu Ada, Ama Ala, and that of the mother-in-law and father-in-law
The Umu Ada's section had Terms like 300 tubers of yam, three fat cows, four ladies machines, and three 25 liters of palm oil, amongst others.
At the tail end, it was said that the money equivalent of the list be provided if the groom wishes to do so instead of providing all the terms. And the dowry pegged at 1k.
Precious' TikTok post caused quite a stir.
