The actress also admitted in her most recent book, "I Am Not Yvonne Nelson," that she doesn't know who her biological father is because her mother won't say.
The 37-year-old actress and single mother asserted that Mr Oko Nelson, her putative father, is not her biological father and that she has been using the wrong last name.
Sel The Bomb, an internet user who read the book, claims that Yvonne Nelson has never met her father and is currently at odds with her mother as a result of the situation.
Yvonne Nelson also indicated that Father's Day is a particularly depressing day for her in a tweet from 2022.

The most surprising revelation in Yvonne Nelson's book isn't even about Sarkodie, according to a tweet from Sel the Bomb. The most bizarre revelation is her ordeal with her alleged father. Even if he is presently late, the man is not her true father. She claims that her mother misled her. She continued to portray this innocent man as a negligent father in her statements and interviews even though she was unaware of this. Her mother did not inform her that Mr Nelson is not her father until after the man fell ill.
He had passed away before she could apologize at the hospital. The man passed away in 2017 without ever mentioning Yvonne Nelson in the media. He carried the shame with him to the grave. In the new book, Yvonne has, nevertheless, expressed her regret to his ghost.
